Vintage Red Resin Foo Dogs: Chinese Guardian Lions, Chinoiserie Sculpture

These Chinese Foo Dogs statues are small but mighty. These majestic creatures, also known as Chinese Guardian Lions or Imperial Guardian Lions, have been revered in Chinese Buddhism for centuries. The male lion has a ball, representing the earthly tangible elements, while the female lion has a Foo cub, representing the spiritual realm. Together, they form a protective, powerful team that is believed to ward off harmful spiritual influences and people with bad intentions. There are 50 curls on their heads, 10 curls down the back and 4 curls at the tail area. They are very detailed. Each measuring approximately 3 inches in height, 2.5 inches in length, 1 .75 inches deep and each weigh approximately 10 ounces. Each in great condition with no manufacturing flaws, On the bottom of one there are no scratches
