4 Vintage Japanese Wooden Kokeshi

Kokeshi are wooden dolls that originated in the Tohoku region of northern Japan.
They are simple dolls with no arms or legs that have been crafted for over 150 years.
Kokeshi are handmade from wood and have a simple trunk and head with a few thin, painted lines to define the face.
They can be identified by their cylindrical bodies, rounded heads, and multicolored designs.

This is a vintage Japanese mid-Showa Era (c. 1950's) wooden doll known as a kokeshi.
