1776-1976 Bicentennial Commemorative series Pewter plates, We Are One. Sculpted by Manuel de Oliveiro. Designed and Produced by the International Silver Company in Meriden, CT. In creating the Commemorative Plate Series, International Silver appropriately patterned the rim of each plate after the reverse design of the Continental Dollar. The rim of each plate contains the seals of the thirteen original states and the We Are One declaration. The original sculptures from which the plate center designs were cast have been meticulously modeled to depict the six most eventful scenes in the birth of the American nation. The historical significance of the sculptured scene is inscribed on the back of each plate, along with the sculptor's signature and the owner's individual registry number.
Each plate is approx.9" in diameter and 1/2 inch tall .Weights 2.25 lbs
