Old Nippon from the late19th Century or early 20th Century. Some might call it a large sugar bowl, but similar items are pictured on page 297 of Van Patten's book on Nippon Porcelain, Fifth Series, and are identified as cracker jars. Hand painted and hand decorated with beautiful Golden florals
3 1/2" tall to neck rim and 4 1/2" tall to top of lid finial. The top opening without the lid is 6" diameter. It is approximately 9 1/4" wide at outer tips of handles. Excellent vintage condition.

This Beautiful Hand Painted Nippon serving bowl was made between 1891 and 1911. Cream porcelain, beautiful gold trim. Scalloped edges, very ornate. This is a gorgeous piece! Would make a beautiful wedding gift. Perfect condition.
