Wonderful antique arts and crafts Georg Mendelssohn large tray or dish.
Hammered textured and impressed .
Decorative edges and marked on the underside " Mendelssohn 87 VE ".
Oval shape 21.5" long 14" wide and 1.75" deep, and weights 4 lbs

This expertly fabricated work of art was crafted between 1910 and 1920. It is stamped and numbered on the back.
Georg was a very accomplished artist who specialized in metal art (especially hammered brass) and was also a goldsmith.
He was born in 1866 in Dorpat, Germany. Much of his art was lost in the war, making it highly collectible.
This stunning oval tray has a rich aged patina and amazing texture and dimension. There is no damages on the tray . Just the aged marks,
